Amazing Matter!!

This is my Amazing Matter activity. All the liquids are coloured Red, all the gases are green and the solids are yellow. I learned that if you do something to another type of matter it can change the type of matter to become different. For example, when you heat an ice cube, it slowly moves into a liquid and if you continue heating it the liquid will evaporate into gas. The mouse has a pathway through the picture and it is following the line that covers the solids - The mouse is going on a solid Pathway!! :-)

Minuet Music Piece

This is another of my chrome music lab creations. I got this piece from one of my piano books. I like it because the tune is soft and soothing. Maybe next time, I could add some of my own changes to make it better instead of using a piece from a book.

 A lipogram is a piece of writing that leaves out one letter. 

 I - The acrobats wore red and yellow polka-dotted dresses and came out to please the crowd that was eagerly there to watch the show.

U - The lively, blonde, Retriever leapt towards it's playmates with happiness.

O - The sweet tune that the bird was singing, filled my heart with sadness as the tune seemed like it was filled with failure and defeat.

A - The people in the pool were singing loudly - louder then ever when people performed their music pieces.

Music Piece = Piano

This is my Music Piece that I made using Chrome music lab. I made it using something similar to an online piano. Outside there was a bird singing something similar to this and I just changed it up a bit. I think next time I'll try to make it longer because it seemed a bit short. I hope you enjoy listening to it.

Shell Shock is something caused by stress. Soldiers would get this when they went to battle because of their stress. 40% of the casualties would suffer because of shell shock. Some people would die because of the loss of limbs or confusion. Shell Shock was difficult to understand for civilians because most of them didn’t have it. Now shell shock is known as Post-Traumatic stress disorder.

Music description

The different kinds of musical instruments made me feel like I wasn’t alone in what I was doing. The tempo was going slow then it picked up the pace like something big was going to happen. The low tone was filled with suspense. It took me back to the 1800s where there were dusty roads. The music was like I was fighting an enemy with the rest of my secret spy group. I feel like we're going to win and then something stops us. We’d probably be defeated but we’d somehow beat the enemy in the end.

The calm soothing beginning tells me that my team is on the right track. We are very strong and intelligent. As the music continues and the tempo goes faster I can tell that we are confused. I feel that we had made a wrong decision on the way and were thinking about what to do. We go on with the war anyway and end up losing badly. The entire team was stuck and were trying to get out. Once we get out it will be a guaranteed win because we discussed the plan. So how do we get out?

The Hot Air Balloon Ride

The hot air balloon

Cleverly, Alice steered herself around the big birds that were partying in the air. She was petrified as she hung on to dear life. In a remarkable speed, Alice was floating down, down where she would crash and meet her fate. Then quite suddenly, her sharp eyes caught a glimpse of something golden in the rural environment. Alice thought for a moment and rounded her way to the golden patch. She had a feeling it was a field of soft growing rice. There were shouts and screams from her parents who were high up in the helicopter above her. She couldn’t make out anything. The bitterly cold wind stung her face as she heads down the mysterious patch. She was hoping that there was a farmer there who could help her. Alice was frightened. Here it goes she thought to herself. She knew that the houses below her were far too dangerous to go. Alice zoomed down to the golden rice field - or what she thought was a rice field. Crash!! The farmer and his wife came running out of the farmhouse. They didn’t care about the ruined rice, they just comforted the little girl. The farmer's wife - Mrs Makreedies, gave Alice a glass of warm milk and cookies while the farmer, who knew Alice’s parents quite well, telephoned them and told them Alice was safe. So that’s what Alice’s birthday was like, and from then on she never went on a hot air balloon again.

I am reading the Famous Five series by Enid Blyton. This is Timmy the dog’s description.

Description:

Timothy, also known as Timmy or Tim is said to be the best dog in the world. He is strong and can easily defeat 5 humans at once. Tim is also friendly and good-tempered. He knows when to be affectionate and when to display his razor-sharp teeth. Timothy sticks by his Mistress, Georgina (better known as George) day and night no matter what happens. Timmy is intelligent and is a good listener. He makes people feel assured and protected. When Julian, Dick,  Anne, and George are together, Timmy considers himself to be ‘on guard’ and sleeps with one ear open for danger. Timothy's strong paws help him swim better than most dogs. His emerald eyes gleam at night and you can just make him out in the moonlight. His fluffy fur is well-kept thanks to George. Timothy is my favourite character in Famous Five and I love reading about him.

Timothy is my favourite character because he saved the 4 kids plenty of times. One of My favourites is when a circus kidnapped George and Anne to hide them because they had discovered their secret. Timmy, being very smart, hid and went back to where they were staying and Gave Henry, another one of the fives friends, a note to get Julian and Dick to save George and Anne. Timothy ended up defeating most of the circus singlehandedly while Julian and Dick went to get the police. And thus Anne and George were saved and everyone was happy again.

Learn to draw a Rangoli!!

How to draw a Rangoli

A Rangoli is a traditional Indian art form that is made using coloured rice or powder. It is usually put outside your doorstep for special occasions and festivals like Diwali. Today I will be showing you how to make a simple rangoli.

What you will need:

• A piece of paper

• A sharp pencil

• Colour pencils, paint, felt pens, coloured rice or powder etc.

• An eraser if you make a mistake!!

Instructions:

1. First, draw seven dots evenly spaced out horizontally.
2. Then draw six dots underneath it to begin forming an inward triangle. 
3. After that keep drawing dots underneath. Your picture should now look like this:

5. Draw a horizontal line to connect the three dots together as per the picture below. Then draw lines diagonally both ways. After that you do the same on all 3 corners so your rangoli looks like this:

7. Now that you have connected most of the dots you need to finish by connecting all the mini triangles to make them diamonds like this:

9. Your rangoli is now finished!! Finally, you can colour it in or fill it in with coloured rice or powder. Well done, you have just drawn a rangoli!!
