Why children should be in a multicultural group. W.A.L.T: Write a persuasive piece of writing. We were writing a persuasive piece of writing

Why all children should be a part of a multicultural group

W.A.L.T: Use a template to plan our writing

Intro
Hi there! I just finished my dance class! Wait a minute.Do you do any cultural dancing or singing? Do you
want to? If your answer is no, i’m going to convince you to want to join a multicultural group! I strongly
believe that it is compulsory, for every school in NZ to have some kind of a cultural group because it helps
build confidence, it helps with teamwork and it’s great with motor skills! So let's get started!!
It helps build confidence
For starters, it helps build confidence. A lot of children can  hardly make friends! But, if you join a
multicultural group, you can have the confidence to make lots of friends! Your friends are the ones who
will look out for you; they will support you for everything and  to make you make good choices. In my
opinion, it is imperative that we all join a  multicultural group because we can learn new languages! When
you go to different country you will easily be able to understand the local people. Furthermore, you might
even be able to teach your parents a thing or to.
Teamwork
Secondly, it helps with teamwork. When you work as a team you get more things done. As a result, more
ideas are developed and quality improves. Another benefit is, you can get better coordination. When
children try to do one clap all together, instead of a single CLAP, it goes like CLAP, CLAP, CLAP!! If
you join a multicultural group, not only will you have more coordination, you will also have good no…
great teamwork!  And as I  keep saying it is imperative that  every child should join multicultural group.
RIGHT NOW!!!
My third reason is that being in a cultural group will help build motor skills. According to my research, It
helps children like us get exercise and physical activity, which is important for a healthy lifestyle.
Developing these skills helps a child's ability to do more complex skills in future  activities such as being
in a gymnastics team! Having lots of exercise is also good for health. It will keep you fit and teach you
how to be more flexible. Being in a multicultural group will also help you move your body! Hence forth,
you will be nice and fit for the future!

In conclusion, being in a multicultural group helps build confidence, is great with learning how to work
as a team and it definitely helps with motor skills. It is extremely important to be in a cultural group
because it will help embrace and value every culture, as we all know that we live in a multicultural
world. So go out there and join one. NOW!!

Colour poem W.A.L.T: Use figurative language in our writing.

Cerulean

W.A.L.T: Use Figurative language in our writing.
  • Personification  -Metaphors
  • Similes - Onomatopoeia

Smells like= Salty sea water morning
Looks like= Graceful goldfish
Feels like= Spine chilling water on my fingertips
Sounds like= A swan hissing when it is afraid
Feels like= A Cerulian pendant reflecting from the suns graze.
Is= Water , crayon
Taste= sparkling water

Cerulean

Cerulean is the ocean, as far as the eye can see.
Cerulean is a crayon scribbled on a piece of paper.
Cerulean smells like salty sea water glaring at me.
Cerulean looks like graceful goldfish.
Cerulean feels like a shimmering blue pendant reflecting from the suns graze.
Cerulean sounds like a swan hissing when it is afraid.
Cerulean tastes like sparkling water in a fancy restaurant.

White

White is a swan gliding through a lake.
White is a pearl necklace on my neck.
White looks like clouds stretching across the sky.
White smells like petite daisies on my lawn.
White tastes like ice-cream on a hot day.
White feels like sticky melted marshmallows on my hands.
White sounds like seagull at the beach!
