The Coyote and the Turtle

The Fantastic Foxes and the Wonderful Wonkas have been looking at character descriptions. We first used writing from the text to find adjectives. Then we used our inferencing knowledge to do the same. We then wrote them down. This mine!

Pencil Sketch

For a few weeks now we have been looking at pencil sketching. By looking at a view we replicated a foreground, middle ground and a background. Then we mixed both of them up and put them on a piece of black paper. This was the final product!

I am very funny and love making friends and family laugh!  I often prefer reading and admire children.

My sense of humour teaches children in a different way! I like being unique!I hang around in the depths of the murky amazon and use my brain to sense children who are bored or need my help! My to special assistants help me do this!  I can't resist stripes! ( P.S. Not many cats like stripes)

Bubble bomb experiment

Learning Intention:   W.a.l.t to conduct, observe and record experiments

Hypothesis/Prediction: (What do you think will happen?) It will be gooey

Equipment/Materials Needed: Vinegar Baking soda Paper towel Zip lock bag

Method/Steps: 1. Put a table spoon of baking soda inside a paper towel and fold it up into a square. This is your ‘time release’ packet. 2. Pour into your plastic bag: 1/2 cup of vinegar and 1/4 cup of warm water. 3. Carefully put the time release packet into your zip lock bag without it dropping in the vinegar before you can close the bag. 4. Close the bag. 5. Give the bag a shake.

Results (What happened?): The plastic bag filled up with gas. When we shook the bag it started to form bubbles.It popped!

Summary Statement/Conclusion: (Was your prediction right or wrong? Why?   What did this experiment/your results tell you?) My prediction was wrong because the experiment was nothing like the texture of a gooey feeling. I learnt to never do this experiment inside.

Letter to bff

Dear best friend in the whole, wide world,

You are so amazing with your creative thinking and how you imagine your next move. I really like being your assistant from the bottom of my heart. I love inventing new things especially with you. The feeling is just spectacular. Our inventions bring joy to my heart. I think you have a lot of perseverance. Remember the time when we were having a race and we found some pieces. Then we ended up making a see-saw that was just the right size for both of us. We even carved our names into it, that was the best part.

It doesn't feel good when you have made something and it does not work out. I feel upset to see you when your angry and it does not work. You even do things that make things worse for yourself. (Here's some things). When you get frustrated, you do thing s that you don’t always want to do. So I will give you some advice that will calm you down.You could count to ten or you could walk away from the situation
